Last Day of Work
The last few weeks have been packed full of stuff for us. My (Gretchen's) last day at work was June 23. This was a bittersweet milestone for me because I have learned soooo much during my two years at TEAM. God really used that mission and the people there to expand my view of Himself and what He is doing in so many countries around the world. "Missions" has become in my mind the most necessary and inevitable task that Justin and I are called to. The spreading and magnifying of God's Glory is an amazingly unstoppable, unfathomably beautiful reality that we are striving to get caught up in. Thank you, TEAM, for leading me deeper and deeper into these truths!
Home to Appomattox
Last weekend we spent the weekend in Appomattox, Virginia with my family! My parents hosted a huge party for several momentous events this year...their 25th wedding anniversary, my aunt & uncle's 25th wedding anniversary, our marriage (it'll be 6 months tomorrow!!!!) on Dec 30 of last year, two high school graduations, two birthdays, etc. There were about 100 people there. There was a big tent in our side yard, three bands, hundreds of burgers and brats, fireworks, lots of family and friends, and several dozen gallons of my mom's sweet tea :) It was a wonderful weekend to fellowship with family that has been scattered all over the globe. My grandmother, Addy, even made it down from Pennsylvania, thanks to a couple wonderful aunts and uncles. You'll have to ask Justin if he experienced any culture shock while he was in Central Virginia!
Packin' and Packin' and Packin'...
In the last few days we've been packing and preparing furiously for our departure TOMORROW for Russia!! We are so excited to do this English camp, to share the gospel with these kids from Smolensk, and have lots of fun with them. Here's how you can pray for us in the next couple weeks:
* Heatlhy team dynamics (team members are Justin, Gretchen, Dave, Lara, Shawn, Cheryl, Janelle, Danielle, Paige, Alaina, and Drew)
* Our attitudes, actions, and words to glorify God and bring honor and fame to the name of Jesus
* Safety in travel
* All our bags and camp materials to arrive when and where we need them to!
* Selfless and humble attitudes
* Good health for team members and camp kids
* Meaningful fellowship with fellow believers in Smolensk
* For the gospel to speed ahead and be honored in the hearts of the people of Smolensk and surrounding areas.
* For our marriage to get stronger and stronger every day, rooted in Christ Jesus and strengthened by the Holy Spirit
Thank you for praying!
By His Grace & For His Glory,
Gretchen and Justin

Gretchen, it was so good seeing you! Your parents sure know how to throw a party. And Justin, it was great meeting you...hope you're recovered from Appomattox! Please know that you two are in my prayers, and I can't wait to see what God's going to continue to do through you!
