This weekend has been amazing. Yesterday we went with our host family up to Mt. Dajti, a famous mountain here outside Tirana. There is a relatively new cable car system that runs up the side of the mountain. Breath-taking views of the whole Tirana valley and surrounding snow-capped mountains. Our very own Albanian Alps :)
Here is a picture of the cable car...

And here is the view of the mountain that we climbed. That round tower at the top is where is stops. Then we caught a ride in a small bus over to the right where you see the radio towers. There are some nice restaurants with spectacular views. It was a bit hazy, so we couldn't see the city down below very well.

A Sweet Welcome
This morning we attended our first church service here and it was so sweet to be with the believers here again. The church moved from one service to two services at the beginning of January, so we went to the first service then we attended the youth meeting during the second service. It was so wonderful to re-unite with the members of the youth group, most of whom have started coming to the church since we started Camp Eureka two summers ago.

Hey you guys...its us again! This is such a great way to know how to pray for you...although we know that there is so much to pray for without mentioning details to the Lord that he already knows. We are becoming addicted to this site! Thank you for all the postings so far. We are so thankful that you've had such warm and welcoming week in Albania. Its so neat to see the faces of those on your team and the youth kids and know that God is working in these people who are strangers to us but are arm in arm with you right there on the computer screen. We miss you a ton, but we are rejoicing in the privilege of partnering with you in prayer and so glad to see God's manifestations of His Spirit in you at work....even miles away you are such a source of joy for us, I mean it! We love you!!! -DnJ

Dear Justin and Gretchen! I have just had a tour of your blog and loved it. I am in bed with flu right now so I have time to catch up on everyone. Wow, how exciting that you can be in Albania right now! I will pray for you and look at your blog often.
