A few days ago I wrote that we are going to have a bunch of people over to our home for Passover meal and Easter celebration on Sunday afternoon. The event is actually taking place on Friday evening. We’ll have about 15 people here. We’ll have a meal together, take communion, and reflect on the amazing events that took place 2000 years ago. The death of resurrection of our Lord, Jesus Christ, is something we can never meditate on too frequently. It will be a very special evening for us as we fellowship with our brothers and sisters in Albania. Please pray for our time together, that it would be focused on the right things. When you host an event like this it can be easy to be focused on the wrong things – the logistics, the meal, the details, etc.
Then, on Saturday evening we’ll be inviting the Youth and Young Professionals to our home to watch The Passion of the Christ. Please pray that they would each be bold to invite an unbelieving friend, and that there would be many good conversations following the film.
On Sunday our normal two services will combined into one service, with baptisms and testimonies taking place during the second service.
This is a very special weekend for us here in Tirana! Thank you for remembering the church here as you celebrate Easter wherever you are.
