Prayer, Praise & Brunch

Last night (Friday) we had the first Prayer & Praise at our home for the Youth and Young Professionals. It was a very encouraging evening with intermingled praying (we used the ACTS prayer structure) and singing praises to God. It was well attended by the Young Professionals, but we still are trying to get more of the younger youth to come out. It's hard to get them out in the evenings beccause their parents don't want them to walk home alone (it's mostly girls anyway, so that is understandable). It really was one of the best times of fellowship that I've witnessed yet. We had various times of individual prayer, small group prayer, and large group prayer. We sang songs in English and Albanian. Some songs we sung to mp3 worship songs we have, while there was live music to other songs (see picture below). We are so thankful that God has given us multiple opportunities already to display hospitality to all the young people in the church.

This morning, we had some of our teammates over for a late breakfast of eggs, bacon, fruit, yogurt, yummy raisin buns and coffee and tea. It was wonderful to just have some down time with them. It was also wonderful to have their three boys keep the puppy occupied for a while. He's all tuckered out now!

And last, but not least, these are our absolute favorite sticky sweet raisin buns - so good! And only sixty cents each :) :

Here are some things to pray for in the near future:

Tomorrow (Sunday) is another Fellowship Lunch at our home. Pray that the young people would reach out to one another in love and service. Pray that they would be bold in sharing Christ with their friends and that they would invite them to events like this.

On Easter Sunday, we are having about 15-20 people from the church to our house for lunch and Easter celebration! This will be not just young people, but families. So we are very excited to get to know some more people from the church on a personal basis.

On April 23 is our Outreach Concert!! We are very excited for this event and will start promoting it this week with flyers and posters. Pray for Christians to be bold and filled with love for their neighbors. Pray that Christ will be honored and that his Name be made famous in Tirana!
