Josiah Venture in Albania...Developing

This past weekend Dave Patty, the president of Josiah Venture (JV), came to Tirana. He spoke at church on Sunday and spoke at a youth meeting on Sunday night. It was a wonderful time of fellowship and a blessing to have him here. The main purpose of his trip was to meet with us and our team leader about how we can partner with and start another branch of Josiah Venture here in Albania. Currently they (JV) are in ten countries throughout Eastern Europe.

Gretchen and I have been praying about this for a long time and last February we had a meeting with Dave in Wheaton about the potential of JV-Albania but we were not sure how it would work. We invited him to come to Albania and see things for himself and meet with the leaders here. We had some wonderful meetings on Sunday and Monday here in Tirana and are excited for what will develop in the future. The process is still in the beginning stages but is surely moving along.

Next Monday we go to the Czech Republic for the JV leadership conference, and we are bringing six students from our group. Please pray for us as we go there, we want the Lord to work in the students' lives during this conference. We are praying that he will grant us all a big vision not only for our church, but for the nation of Albania. We are hoping this is the foundation on which we start working with JV.

These are the 6 students we are bringing to Czech for the conference next week:
