2 by 3 Campaign

Double the Kingdom fruit in three years; that is what the two by three campaign is all about.

Since we have joined in partnership with Josiah Venture, I have the opportunity to meet with the Josiah Venture Council of men. The men (26 of them) that make up this group are the country leaders from North America, as well as some National leaders from eleven different countries. They meet three times a year, twice in Czech and once in another of the host countries. They come together to pray, share what God is doing in each country, and gain a vision what God could do next by His grace.
This meeting was an especially important one as we came together and thought and prayed about how we could see God move in each country and see the kingdom fruit of each ministry double by the year 2010. It surely was an inspiring meeting to be apart of, especially as it was my first time at the council meetings.

On Monday we started in the afternoon. We spent most of the time studying God’s Word and the idea of being fruitful. We went through all the New Testament verses that talked about fruit and then talked as a big group about what they mean. We also started talking about how we need to develop a vision of bearing two times the kingdom fruit in three years.
At the core of this vision are four things. Evangelism, Disciplemaking, Leadership Training, and healthy reproducing churches.
With those things in mind we spent all day Tuesday working through some worksheets as well as the Bible and began to develop this vision. After we worked through the first worksheet we sat down with Dave and Mel and talked through some of the ideas that we came up. Each meeting was an hour long and consisted of one or two other country leaders. My two meetings were with leaders from Croatia, and Serbia. This day was a great day, almost 12 hours long, but very inspiring and encouraging to hear how God was speaking to each individual.

As I was thinking through some of this, God brought me to Proverbs 11:11 which says… “By the blessing of the upright a city is exalted, but by the mouth of the wicked it is overthrown.”

I thought the verse applies very specifically to Tirana, Albania. A city run by wicked men; one that needs righteous and upright men so that it may be exalted for the glory of God.

Then finally on Wednesday, we spent time praying together and finishing our first draft of our vision.
All in all, it was a great week to be apart of, and I am sure thankful for a lot of those men who have much passion for the glory of God and long for their countries to know this God through the blood of Jesus Christ.
Pictures below…during one of the days we did a video update on what God is doing in our country.
