Bodies & Beauty Girls' Retreat

During the last couple weeks, I have been working on putting together a one-day girls' retreat called "Bodies & Beauty". This will be a really special, intense, and fun time together with all the girls in the youth group. We will talk together about biblical femininity, beauty, and modesty. I am really excited as we've never done something like this before. It falls under the Purity Ministry umbrella, and is kind of a follow-up to the Purity Retreat we had about a year and a half ago.

My vision for the retreat: For the girls to see their bodies and beauty as God sees them.

Goals for the retreat:

1. How to be a mental virgin & glorify God with our thoughts
2. Learn why modesty in dress is important
3. Write confession letters to God and experience his forgiveness in the area of mental purity

There is so much material that I have collected over the years in the area of purity, that it is really hard to narrow it down! Please pray that in my preparation that God would clearly guide me in what to say to the girls.

There will be 4 sessions:
Session 1: Women were created...to be feminine, beautiful, and to glorify God
Session 2: Modesty Fashion Show
Session 3: Glorify God with your thoughts
Session 4: Quiet Time/Confession letters

We will also have some times to just hang out, have fun, and we'll also make a craft.

The date of the retreat is the Monday after Easter - April 13. If you think of it, please pray for us!! I am hoping to have around 25 girls there.
