The air is crisp and cool and even a bit cleaner here in Tirana since the rains came. We have officially entered into rainy season. Which means muddy puddles and umbrellas and muddy shoes and sweaters...and a clear view of the mountains from our kitchen window. But there are colder days ahead.
So we have been keeping ourselves warm with lots of activities and projects. The "Youth Shack" is coming right along! Today it was being painted. The two back rooms (the study room and Justin's office) are both completely constructed and wired now. I (Gretchen) have painstakingly picked out material for curtains and paint colors. The curtains are being made now. Currently, we have a coffee bar being specially made, and we have even bought some furniture for it. We are so excited about being able to use this place for ministry soon. We hope to have a grand opening sometime in mid to late November.
Please continue to pray for all the details to be worked out. If you are interested in helping to financially support this ministry venture, please let us know. We currently have some money that we are using for start up costs (which are significant, as you can imagine), but we are looking for monthly supporters for the future months. We currently have a 3 year contract. Email us with any questions you may have!
We will put up pictures soon of the progress on the youth shack.

Yes, colder days are coming. I recommend thick wool socks as one's feet tend to freeze when spending long hours sitting behind a desk. You could wear snowmobile boots but they would not blend well with the Italian fasions.
